After one trip down the driveway we knew either the driveway had to change or we both needed to trade in our cars for pick-ups. We've now had a driveway modification and will find out tomorrow if it was successful. Every day another small detail is completed and we unpack another box and appreciate our new home a little more.
Before the move we followed the inspiration of our friend Roselind Hejl and purchased some great limestone stepping stones quarried in Austin. I don't know how we could have functioned without them since our front yard is mostly mud right now. The yard, though planted with cereal rye, is only just beginning to show signs of life -- but that's another story, (The Native Septic Experiment--coming soon).
I have posted a few pictures below but you will see the rest in a month or two when we invite you over for a real view and celebration.
Congratulations. Fran and I know the challenges of house building.
